Abstract:
It is difficult to generate homogeneous wind in model test for floating wind turbines, especially when using array of axial fans. We design and compare proper fins behind the blades for an axial fan to produce antitwist flow based on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD). The result is promising and proves that suitable designed fins can be an effective solution.
